The third quarter of 2025 has shown interesting trends for the leading photo and video applications on a unified platform in Sweden. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's how the top five apps performed:

CapCut - Video Editor by Bytedance Pte. Ltd saw fluctuations in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads hovered around the 9K mark, peaking at 10.1K in early August. Revenue trends were more dynamic, rising from about $41K to a peak of $63K in late September. Active users started at just over 506K and saw a slight decrease, ending the quarter at approximately 441K.

Instagram maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads ranging from 6.7K to 8.5K. Revenue experienced a notable fluctuation, starting at $15.6K and peaking at $24.1K mid-quarter. Active user numbers remained stable, around the 1.1M mark.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor showed a steady increase in downloads, reaching over 6.5K by mid-September. Revenue followed a similar upward trend, closing the quarter at around $25K. Active users saw a significant increase, rising from 67K to 81K.

Edits, an Instagram app, although not generating revenue, witnessed a notable rise in downloads, peaking at 7.8K in early August. Active users followed this trend, growing from 6.6K to over 17K by the end of September.

YouTube remained a strong contender with weekly revenue consistently exceeding $360K, peaking at $699K in late July. Downloads were relatively stable, around 3K to 3.6K, while active users were robust, maintaining a level above 6.1M.
